Can I have your opinion about my logo?

    Hi all,

I'm have a IM products review blog and would like to add a logo to my website.
What do you guys think. Should I use my logo with or without the character?

Is the character better for my personal branding, or does it distract too much?
Will it be better because people recognize me, etc etc.

    Please your opinions.

    Thanks!

    Hi Tim,

First of all welcome to WMS! Glad to have you part of the forum.

I actually think the character in your logo adds a bit character [lol] to your logo. When giving a service such as a review blog it makes sense to have a logo that connects with your niche, and clientele. I would choose the first logo you have.

IMHO I don't think you need to change anything. Well done!

Hiya Tim, I think your logo has a certain style and branding which is cool and stands out compared to some of the typical boring ones and is appealing to your target audience... I would go for the first one showing the cartoon character as your brand is based around you and your opinions... On that note - good luck with your IM review site ;-)

I concur that the logo with the character is better. It's very well done. Go with it!

Your logo looks good but now we are living in a web design world that everything is flat, no shadow or less borders hence I would suggest you remove border and shadow around your logo. The slogan should be dark gray color, bigger a bit.

Please let me know if everyone agrees with the flat part.
Do you like the logo before, or do you like the logo after?

You can consider to not use gradient and glass effects in your logo

The color of slogan is dark gray, near black but is not black.

I am guessing that you are using Photoshop to design your logo?

If yes, it made your words not sharpen as expecting.

Atm I don't have the source file, so I photoshopped some with the Jpeg logo. That explains :-)
But please keep coming with the suggestions, I all take it for advice on my journey

Tim, I'm with PTTed on this one, go with the original with the character. It really punches out of the screen. Great job, good luck with it!

    Thanks Danno!

I also tweaked the character a little (less harder corners around the eyes and blond eyebrows )
Here is the endresult on my website, and I'm super happy with it!

    Thanks all for your responses!

The very first logo was the perfect one, you don't need to change anything. It has great colors, very visible content and it is very attractive. I am glad that you didn't change anything. Just visited your website and honestly speaking that you logo is the best part of your website

Thanks for your honest opinion tk-hassan!

Do you mean with that, that you didn't like the setup of the website? Or did you only wanted to say that the logo exactly fits into it and its a perfect branding this way?

    Hope to hear from you.
    Thnx

    Hello, Tim!

I'm not 100% sure if you're still looking for feedback on this logo. That being said, I wanted to say a few things about it. For starters, I think it's very original. I love the little character guy to the left. It really makes your logo stand out. In response to which is better, I honestly feel like the first one is better. I know a lot of people are going with a "Flat" look for everything these days. However, I think that the first logo would work with a flat design as well. Anyway, hope you've sorted this or that you will soon. Keep up the great work.

    Thanks,
    Amanda

Yes, Go for Logo with Character in Before you have suggested. And use that character into social media's profiles for your blog promotion.

I like it. It's not an easy task to create an elaborated character like that. I wouldn't change anything in the design.

Hi Tim, nice logo. They are both nice but the first one is better IMO because it adds personality to it. The man with the thumbs up is something people can identify with and relate to if you get me?

So I'd say go with the first one. Did you make it yourself?

Nice logos! Well, without the character should be good, it'll be short and small that can be placed easily everywhere. Good luck!
