How can I calculate the bounce rate formula?

Is there some kind of accurate formula to calculate the bounce rate for a website? I have seen this discussed somewhat in some articles but there is not any kind of information on exactly how people are calculating it. Anyone know how I can calculate this?

Its just simple arithmetic.

If you have two visitors. The first comes to your site stays at the landing page and then leaves. The second visitor comes to your landing page and then visit another page and than leaves. Evidently your bounce rate will be 50%. As in the case of the first visitor the BR will be 100% and for the second case it will be 0%.

you can easily calculate bounce rate without using “Google Analytics” but you need to know total number of visitors and total number of visits viewing one page only and total number of visitors of that page.

Bounce rate can be calculated as:-

Bounce Rate = total number of visits viewing one page/ total number of visitors of that page*100

Why would you take the time to calculate it? Any analytics program is going to give you the bounce rate.
