I have encountered press reports that say you can have the "Right To Be Forgotten" by search engines in Europe.

Please help me to understand what this means.

Does this only apply in Europe? Can I chose which information to be "forgotten"?

It involve a right or process where a person can claim any information, data to get removed from the web, so that it cannot be any longer get visible to any user or bot on web. Currently this act is not made global but much used in Europe as mentioned above.

Individuals have the right under certain conditions to ask search engines to remove links with personal information about them.
