Getting incoming links is important, but before selecting the origin of the incoming links, we have to check for its PR, because if we are choosing an origin of incoming link whose PR is less than the site , for which we are getting the link, then this will also lead to negative SEO and thereby reduce the present PR.
   
3. Updating a website everyday is the best practice. But if it involves a blog with a single author, then after a certain period, updating everyday will be a hard job. But if he/she maintains a regularity in their post in a week , suppose 6 posts or 7 posts in week on specific days, then it will help too.
