Failure - forum signatures with more than one links

Hey everyone,

I have seen many of us having silly signatures like having our exact keyword as signatures with more than one keywords having hyperlinks by putting separator between them.

Do you think is this working well for you ?
Didn't you guys know about penguin updates still now ?

I am very much sure about this way of link building isn't work anyway now.

Avoid doing this, this is fully worthless.

I discussed the same question a few days ago with a forum member here.

I strongly discourage you to use signature links at all as this is against Googles guidelines, see [URLnf="https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66356?hl=en"]here[/URLnf]

Maybe it will work now, but i'm better save than sorry.

Most forums have signatures set to nofollow.

Honestly though, if anyone is using signature links in the hopes of boosting rankings, they are an idiot.

If links in the signature are dofollow links then yes, it's very effective for SEO rankings

I have got dofollow links on a quality forum and when they changed to nofollow links in the signature, my keywords dropped 8 positions on search engine results immediately. For sure, you got the answer for this.

I think most signature links for forums are set to nofollow. For example, it is on a couple of the other forums I am a part of.
I am not sure about how it is on here.
Do you guys think that Google would frown on them if they are dofollow links but are getting decent traffic?

This is why I always recommend using engaging signature lines for highly targeted traffic. I feel really bad when I see signatures with hyperlinks like this "pet food, cat food, dog food, blah blah.."

Most discussions have marks set to nofollow.

Truly however, in the event that anybody is utilizing mark connects in the expectations of boosting rankings, they are a bonehead.
