Do you find and read reviews about a web hosting providers before buying their hosting plans? How to check their services are quality or not before deciding give them a try? any comments?

Be careful looking for web hosting reviews. Sadly, most review sites are nothing but affiliate links.

The best way to know for sure is to try a host. Sign up for their smallest plan. Try it out, mess it up, open support tickets, and see how well it goes.

I am completely agree with what RDO Servers has said. Most of the online reviews are not genuine and have been written for generating affiliate sales. However i suggest you to have a look to webhostingtalk forum for checking some quality web host with unbiased reviews.

One of the best things to do when searching for a new hosting company is to do some research. Try to see if you can find some good information from people who might have been or are customers of the service.

Most of the review sites are just affiliate sites and don't have unbiased reviews so you usually can't trust what they write.

Whatever you decide, make sure it's not an "EIG" owned hosting company. Do a Google search and you can find lists of their brands/companies. They are usually nightmares to host with, and I speak from personal experience.

Whatever you decide, make sure you have done some research before buying, or at least see if they have a month to month plan to test them out first.

Do a Google search; usually there's a bunch of forum posts.
If you find the reviews are acceptable - sign up for a month. Stay with that monthly plan for about 3 months, and as RDO Servers said, mess it up.
Once you're satisfied - then go ahead and pre-pay for a longer term if you want.

A lot of competitors are placing reviews by different companies. Also a lot of companies pay or give discount or a free domain when you place a review about the company. It's not nice but unfortunately the reality

A review from someone you don't trust is worthless BUT don't be lazy, search for that actual review and you'll find it.

However, nothing trumps first hand experience.

As mentioned, be very careful when researching a company. Your best best is to try out each company and see where it goes, when I first started out as a web developer that is what I did. You can't exactly trust online reviews, most of them are paid for and others are affiliates trying to get you to click their link(s).

Lets put it this way, from a customers point of view. Alright, so you're with a provider and things go south.. Said provider really makes you angry, isn't able to make things right and overall you've had a bad experience. Well, now you're upset and the first thing that you want to do is write a negative review of the company to let people know what has happened. Alright, so that's a negative review for the company..

Now... Lets say you choose a Hosting Provider and they do everything right, you're completely satisfied as you may not have even needed to contact support once. With satisfaction comes peace in mind, and relaxation. So, 9 times out of 10 (look at yourself here) you're going to forget about your provider and focus more on your business rather than taking time out to post on a random website your review of said hosting company.... Same thing goes with the rest of the population. Once in a blue moon you're going to get that one customer that the provider has gone above and beyond for that does the same and writes a review of said company, however that's probably a 1 in 100 chance of actually happening.

You're going to see more reviews about the bigger companies, however you're probably going to get much better service from a company that has less customers (maybe higher prices) and is able to focus more on each individual customers needs... Sad thing is, very rarely will you ever hear about said companies on review sites....

So try things out, dip your toes in the water and see where that takes you

most of reviews coming from affiliates accounts i think its gonna be better if you bought a smallest packages from the company you want to try or just asking them for demo account many company's provide that with .1$
