Huge amount of new articles, images, videos and blog posts are uploaded on personal blogs or commercial blogs on the internet daily. Most of them stay in the shadows forever, a lot are quite popular but only a few go viral attracting thousands of people. What is the recipe of popularity? What is recipe to get more traffic for blogs? and especially is how you can make a great content to attract new and returned visitors?

If there was a proven formula, we'd all have more traffic than we could handle and we'd be sipping drinks on our own private island. Plus it can vary per market, product, service, audience. Depends.

I'd say...

First is the headline. It has to draw them in. Doesn't matter how good your content is, if no one reads it, right? So many theories about headlines and there are some guide lines, but usually it comes down to testing and tracking. Course once you have some data, over a period of time you could probably come up with better performing headlines in the future.

Then of course the content itself. Again, it varies per market or audience. Guess it comes down to really knowing your target audience and what they want. Then it shouldn't be as hard to come up with content that resonates with them.

The content could be very useful, entertaining, controversial, news worthy or funny.Again, takes knowing your audience inside and out. Something most marketers don't do enough of, including myself.

Just my opinions. Hope it helps. :)

Exactly it is hard to achieve all these elements when creating a new content on our blogs. The important thing is we need to focus on our visitors and see what they are needing to provide content.
Most bloggers are thinking more content on their blogs then more traffic will come, do you think it is exact and should do this way?

Hard to understand what you're saying and I am not sure if you are asking or telling.

Usually the more content a blogger can put out, the more the traffic will come. But, few can put out quality content at a fast pace. They say 2,000+ word posts are what Google likes these days, so that and the research often needed, it would be surprising if any one person could keep up a steady pace.

Not to mention creating compelling titles to get eyeballs on the content in the first place.

Coupled with the fact that most content is still going to need to be promoted, usually requiring more time than the content creation itself, it can take up ones time quickly.

I know what somewhat famous blogger (self appointed) says his posting 3-5 times a DAY has greatly increased his traffic. But few could keep up a schedule like that.

So I think it comes down to putting out as much quality content as you can with the time to promote it. Guess just common sense. :)

Contents are most important when it comes to increasing the website traffic. The contents are the main reason that the users use the website. If you will offer the same content as the other website then the users always have alternative options.

  1. You can use the following tips to improve your website contents:
  2. Use high quality image and videos to help the users to understand the articles or your business
  3. add simple navigation in your website
  4. Update your website contents regularly
  5. Use simple design layout
But to increase your website traffic you also need to do off page and on page seo for your website. Use social media channels like LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram etc, to increase your website traffic. You can also advertise your website for spreading your website awareness among the users.

Great content can be measured on the basis of followings

- writing style
- Keyword density
- Conversion capacity
- Grammar and Punctuation errors
- Uniqueness
- Visuals
- Interestingness

Above were only the qualitative features. Content should be relevant, precise and have a right of images and text. Linking to good sources increased the credibility of your content. While everyone can't be a good writer (conversion-dragging) so many good sites are present to take help from.

Great content can only be created when -

1. You know about your audience's interests
2. You understand the art of engaging readers
3. The content is interesting, informative, error-free and unique.

Coming to the searcheability point of view -

1. Make it SEO friendly by knowing about the keywords. Fit those keywords very naturally, keeping the density in mind. Do not stuff.
2. Simple Sentences.
3. Small sections.
4. Short and great headlines.

So, either DIY or hire writers/copywriters to work for you. While working for many people at Contentmart, I discovered that quality and SEO both are important so never neglect any of them while perparing content and expecting to make it great.
