I am just getting started. I do have a question. How do you handle vlogging in public like a store or something? Is it legal to film in a public store or do you have to ask permission?

Stores are not public. They are owned by the proprietor of the store. They are the boss of what can go on inside their doors.

Personally I would ask permission of the store owner. That way he knows what you are doing and does not just toss you out if he sees it as a problem.

It depends on the country. It's mostly legal though yes. You have the right to record everything you do by wearing a camera or holding one in most stores and they can't deny you that right as it's against your first human rights. Some countries don't allow at all anywhere even in the street like N/ Korea. But at the end of the day a store can still refuse you entry or insist you stop recording or leave or both. Or call security and have you ejected. But again it depends on the country, the store and the reasons. Whether they know you're recording or not. Look up the laws and rights in your country to find out. I've never heard of someone being sued for recording in a store though. They may probably appreciate the extra publicity you get them! :D

When you decide to Vlog in stores, ask for the store's permission. While the general public is inside the store, it is still owned by someone and that makes it not public. Also know your rights as a vlogger. Each country has created this rule to protect your interests and of the others. When you go to other countries, search for their rules and regulations about their culture in blogging so that you'll be able to maximize your work as a vlogger in a harmonious way.

If you are trying to feature a specific store, better ask for permission. consider cam-cording is illegal and the store might sue you. However, if you are featuring places like parks or food parks, It's ok to do it publicly, well just make sure you not cam-cording those specific ones to prevent any conflict. Vlogging is also a way of marketing, it will help small businesses exposing their presence into potential customers that would help their business grow too plus you too will gain followers to that extend. Wish of luck to you!

I think it's common courtesy to ask permission from the store's owner. If you are lucky enough, sometimes the store owners supports the vlog by stepping their best foot forward and and give you some special treatment just to promote their product. Truth be told, free promotion is free promotion, right? Though vlogging inside or outside a store is somewhat beneficial to the owner and the store's itself, not all store owners are open to the idea. This sometimes could lead to future problems such as being kicked out of the store or being sued.

Many vlogs resulted into troubles especially if negative feedback is written. Well, we cannot stop the people to say something especially in countries that there is a freedom of speech. A question whether it is good or not to make vlogs in public such as store, for me, it is better to ask an approval first from the owner or from the management so that it will not entail misunderstanding in the future. The relationship with one another is very important. If you have suggestions or complains, you may seek their opinion personally.

Depends in which country you are in. some other countries doesn't even mind, some will toss you out of their store because remember store are private property. so the safest you can do is always ask permission.

To be sure and to be safe, ask permission from the store owner or the store manager if you can film inside their store. Then if they gave you the permission then you may proceed with your filming but if not just respect their policy and at be nice to them even if they won't allow you. Know your limitations as a vlogger and always be respectful to others.
