Main advantage of vector graphics is that it allows you to resize images to any size without losing quality.

Main advantage of vector images is scalability. If you enlarge the image the computer automatically re-computes the coordinates of the points and adjusts the vector images and hence images don't get jagged.

Advantages of vector graphics:

- Vector pictures can be sized without any loss of quality, basically it is uses for company logos etc.
- It is also uses for various company who uses for their company big logos banner, Such as vehicle graphics.
- It can make raster image to vector and so on.

Vector images best part is, it can resize without its quality losses. Here no need to data conversion problem for hard copy map images. Every object can edit as much it needed without any problem. Vector images takes low space without loss quality where bitmap images takes more. These are some advantages of vector graphics.

Disadvantages of Vector Graphics:

• The drawing image containing trapping information can only be scaled up to 20% larger or smaller.

• Thin lines in vector images may disappear if we reduce the size too much.

• The very important disadvantage of the vector image is time-consuming and also specific talent must be needed to create it.

• Photographs cannot be taken as vector images. It must be drawn by the artist and must be editing in software like adobe illustrator.

• The vector images are not as cost effective as raster images.

• The location of each vector, need to be stored separately.

I think this one of the biggest advantages of vector graphics, there is no boundary to scale up your vector graphics to any dimension. They look great at any scale, don't require much spaces and much more multipurpose, flexible and easy to use.

See the example below. ... here the same size of images are going to show the different result, maintains its quality as a Vector, the other (Raster) has destroyed while they are zoomed.

The advantage of vector graphics is that you can resize the illustration without losing quality, unlike raster graphics.

In working industry, you will want vector graphics if your visual is going to be sent to printing agencies. They want vector and highly recommend using vector files to produce high quality prints.
