I'm satisfied with the current 140 characters limits. I feel that's where creativity in writing less to express a point comes into play. It's just my opinion. Thanks.

I won't be using 280 characters even if it becomes the norm. Right now they seem to just be testing it across a few spectrum's but I won't be activating it on my account. I do like that they're apparently giving users a choice whether to tweet 280 or not. Instead of forcing it on everyone. I do think though that most people who abuse it will be blocked or muted by fellow tweeters and that will have its own repercussions.
