I consider Bitcoin as an investment. It is a way of earning. It is just like the other businesses where a person pours money with the expectation that it will multiply. However, there are also instances that the income of other businesses fluctuates just like the Bitcoin.

I just read from a social media early this morning that Bitcoin is down. I have read a lot of threads from the people who invested.

Currently you can't really but anything with bitcoin so it is just a commodity people invest in, hoping it will generate them capital gains.

A lot of people see Bitcoin as a form of investment. It is because of the massive influx of it's value at a short period of time. Although Bitcoin have value aside from it being an investment, people are drawn to it not because of it's buying power and all the benefits because there are still few places that you could use Bitcoin. It's because of the money value that is rapidly increasing. I'm still learning about Bitcoin and it's potential as an investment.

Today, I am not sure if you should consider bitcoin investment. Nowadays, you won't be sure when will the value of bitcoin drop. Currently its value is 10,163.54 US Dollars but from time to time it varies. There was this time when I checked its value just this Feb. 2018, it dropped from about 12,000 dollars to 8,500 dollars. See how much loss you will have. I am afraid that the time might come when a bitcoin value would become the same value as a penny.

I consider it a gamble. Just like playing at a casino in Las Vegas. Here is why. The vast majority of so called investors in bitcoin are amateurs. They usually panic when values change, rush to get out etc. This causes the normal growth pattern to fluctuate in crazy ways. When you have a LOT of amateur investors in anything, you usually lose money big time in the long run.

Currently bitcoin is going through the tulip phase. This will cause the amateur investors to panic. This in turn causes a lot of losses over time.

I consider Bitcoin to be a good investment. I regret that I didn't do this when this cryptocurrency appeared. I started using it only two years ago, but I still happy as its price has been increasing. And according to the forecasts and cryptocurrency news aggregators, it might reach more than $20k soon. So, I'm crossing my fingers :)

I do not get it as investment. The stock is volatile. XBT (Bitcoin Stock Symbol). It could go up or down.

Technically it is a Speculation. People speculate that bitcoins can become money one day so they "invest" in it.
Others buy it because the price have been going up so the gamble pretty much.
some consider it an investment.
