it's me again, I'm on the way to write more content for my LED lightning website and choosing keywords to write and there are many keywords, I am confused by selecting them, normally we don't search for the long term but as I can see some of them still have a very high volume compared to the short one. So, what I want to ask is what should I choose between them ?

Usually long tail keyword phrases are a lot easier to rank for. Depends on your competition. If you have some big competitors that google already considers authority sites, it will be extremely difficult to rank for short keyword phrases.

I would defo go with the long tail keywords as they a bit more easier to rank in comparison with short tail.

It's 2020 and search engines are getting smarter and for Keyword optimization. don't rely on the long-tail or short tails.
Just focus on the "user-intent" of the keywords and build quilty content, guides around that!
eg using keywords like

led lights for room
energy-saving led lights
light bulb types
xxx led light price
xxx led bulbs near me

each kw have its own user intent so you should be smart enough to use them in your content

As you can search on google for this answers and many famous bloggers also said this that long tail keywords are the best for your blog and whatever you want for ,long tail keywords are the best to attract users and customers because it clearly show what the page or site is about..So definitely you should go and use long tail keywords but most important thing is research on keywords that you want to use for your LED website...!

When it comes to volume, short tail keyword is going to win long tail keyword every time. The shorter the keyword is, the higher the search volume. If you could rank for a short tail keyword, you're definitely going to get plenty of organic traffic

Targeting long-tail keywords is always a win-win strategy. You get quality traffic may be less in quantity but the conversion rate for this traffic is relatively high. And somewhat easy to target in comparison to other keywords.

Both are efficient. It depends on what is the competition and what is your specifications. If there is too much competition for generic terms, go for specific terms which are relevant to your products/services. Using long-tail keyword will help you to rank faster in comparison to short-tail keywords.

In case, the competition is less you can go for the short-tail keyword.

It's not about short or long tail keywords anymore, it's about understanding, what user is understanding about the url that is infront of the user. example: "example.com/seo-agency-in-newyork", now the user understands this url is about a SEO agency in Newyork, and same would happen with search engine crawlers, as they are improving, their's understanding is improving, they are more likely understanding human's way of interpreting things. so, don't rely on old tricks go for user experience and understanding.
