Hi everyone,

My friends and I want to make an iPhone app but only one of us has a Mac and I do not think that me going over his house every day is going to work out. Is there anyway both of us can work on the app without using Xcode but another IDE instead?
Please tell me some solutions to this problem if you think you can help me out.

Thank you in advance!

Xcode is always the best option to develop iOS application. In my work they do use Visual Studio, which always does the work. Well you'll be using a MAC and Xcode still when submitting an iOS app to APP store, so might as well invest on a Mac. It'll be really useful in the long run, especially when both devs have an access to Mac.

Anyway, good luck on your app development :)

This is literally how modified apps work. The main problem is that you can't download them from official stores. Instead, users can download all the modified apps in APK format. In my opinion, APK files are not something bad. However, a lot of people say that they are slowing your mobile phone. It is true, but partially, it slows your mobile phone if you download them from uncertified websites. This is why it is always important to download them from verified websites like apkdojo. For example, I downloaded hundreds of APK files from there, and I don't have any problem.

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Xcode is the official integrated development environment (IDE) for iOS app development. Xcode is developed by Apple and supports the Swift and Objective-C programming languages.
Here are some key points about Xcode:
  1. Official IDE: Xcode is the official and recommended IDE for iOS app development. It includes a code editor, debugger, Interface Builder (for designing user interfaces), and various tools to help developers create iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS applications.
  2. Swift Support: If you are developing iOS apps with the Swift programming language (which is also developed by Apple), Xcode provides excellent support for Swift development.
  3. Interface Builder: Xcode includes Interface Builder, a visual design editor that allows you to create user interfaces for your iOS apps by dragging and dropping elements.
  4. Simulator: Xcode comes with the iOS Simulator, which allows you to test your apps on virtual iOS devices before deploying them to physical devices.
  5. App Store Integration: Xcode includes tools for managing certificates, provisioning profiles, and submitting your apps to the App Store.
As technology and tools may have evolved since my last update, I recommend checking the official Apple developer website or other recent sources for the latest information on iOS development tools. Additionally, consider exploring any new features or IDEs that may have been released since my last update.
