If you have several website with many different technology then it will be better to choose different host for same technology based sites.Because it will help our sites performence and setting with respect to their technology.
If you have only selected sites to host then its better to go through same host provider,to reducing the money.

I hope this is universal question on which feedbacks would be always useful so i tried to share my point of view.

Im using my own server on which i have virtual private server on which are hosted most of my websites.
I regularly backup website data to the computer outside of the network where is my hosting server.

But if someone need to host more smaller websites, probably one shared hosting would be most affordable and easiest choice. Always remember to regularly backup your website data (files and also mysql database) to your home computer.

As long as you have done your homework and selected a reputable,
trust worthy hosting company, there is no need or reason to have
multiple accounts. IMO anyway.

Sure, shit happen, all the time in fact. The server you're hosting
your sites on may crash, or something minor may happen, resulting
in a short period of downtime, but, that can happen no matter how
many sites and how many accounts you have.

I have well over a few dozen sites in all and they are ALL hosted on
one account. I do not do this to primarily to save money, however,
that is a nice perk. BUT, I have also been fortunate enough to not
have suffered any considerable downtime in the last 7 years or so.

In fact, I can only really recall 3 instances, and one that I know of
for sure, was due to system maintenance and my hosting provider
let us know well in advance so we could plan accordingly.

If anything ever happens to the server, sure, all my sites go down,
however, since I use one main (global) order/purchase system any
ways, if that one site goes down, none of my sites will function as
they should anyways, so, for me personally, its ALL OR NOTHING!

Regardless of how many accounts you have and for whatever reason,
I would always strongly suggest doing your own weekly (daily if ever
necessary) backups to ensure you always have up to date copies of
all your sites content.

By the nature of what I do part-time, I work with clients that are hosted all over the place. All of my own websites are on a personal managed VPS.

In my personal experience, having everything in one account at one host can sometimes cause big problems. I used to have everything at one host, mainly for ease more than anything else. However, after having unforeseen issues arise and having all of my sites go down more than once for longer than a few minutes, I no longer do this.

Since most of the fields/niches that I have sites for, I have multiple sites covering them, I tend to split them between 2 or more locations. That way if there is an outage or other issue, I still have sites in each field/niche that are up.

I also like to have them at more than 1 location for some other reasons, but potentially having everything go down at once is the biggie.

If I only had a couple of sites then it really wouldn't make as much difference I guess, but having many and losing them all at the same time potentially can be a big disaster.

I agree on multiple places. You can easily have DNS updated at CloudFlare to point to a different A record if one location goes down (there are scripts that make this automated). So it's easy to get more uptime. There is also DNS Made Easy for a similar solution.

However - one stable, reputable host can get you 99.99% uptime.

I will suggest you to go for single hosting provider which provides 99.99% uptime. It will help you to reduce your own work to manage many sites with different hosting providers and also save your money.

If you have small size sites then I will suggest you to for for Shared hosting plans. Many hosting providers allows you to add more than one domain name in your hosting plan.

So, you can manage your all domain names in a single hosting account easily.

And if you have sites with large data then you can signup for a VPS server and manage these sites.
