Search engine optimization is the process through which you can increase the PR and traffic. On other hand PPC or pay per click is the way to show your advertisement and you will get the traffic. PPC depends on the companies who are willing to pay the price. In both cases (for SEO and for PPC) companies need to pay. So my question is that, what is the difference between PPC and SEO. Which one is most important?

PPC means Pay-per-click. It is the process of buying ads on searchable websites with the goal of gaining traffic to your own site. The Pay-Per-Click refers to how an advertiser is only charged when someone clicks on the ads.
SEO means Search Engine Optimization. SEO is the only way to go for marketing.SEO marketing involves improving code and writing relevant content on a website to organically increase its placing on a search engine without paying for an advertising spot.

SEO(search engine optimization) is free of cost or organic seo while Pay per click (PPC) (also called cost per click) is an internet advertising model used ... It is defined simply as “the amount spent to get an advertisement clicked

Like what is the difference for me? PPC requires money and has no guaranteed results and SEO requires knowledge and has "some" guaranteed results :)

Both are different. SEO gives you long lasting result while PPC gives you short term result.
SEO gives you organic result without pay money while PPC gives you paid result with pay money.

When you don't have the budget free SEO can be a pain.. PPC it's an alternative but you will have to pay a lot of money to keep the ads up and make good conversions. For that you need lots and lots of experience to get the best results. Don't think that Google AdWords it's just a walk in the park.no! You have to keep quality score high and for that you need to apply some specific strategies. Negative keywords, more campaigns, not using similar keywords more than once - so they will not cancel each other. It's a hard...

Both SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and PPC (Pay Per Click) are a part of SEM i.e Search Engine Marketing, which is one of the tools that you can use as a part of your overall Marketing Campaign.

SEO- You can get first page positions if your website is optimized for search engines.
PPC- You can get your ad on the first page by paying a higher cost per click.

PPC stands for Pay Per Click.
SEO means Search Engine Optimization.

SEO is the process of optimizing a website and build backlinks to get attention of Search engines to get top ranking in Search Engine Results Page. In contrast, PPC is the process of buying keywords related to a niche. Then the search engine shows it top on the results when a person searches with a search query related to the keyword.

The main difference between Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) is that traffic coming from SEO (organic) is free while traffic generated from PPC is not free (as the name implies you have to pay a cost per click).

When you search a keyword on Google, the results displayed has the adverts on top and later the free listings. The adverts on top are paid adverts (PPC) while the results displayed below the paid adverts are the SEOs. I think this answers the question of what is the difference between the two terms.

PPC will involve your money while SEO will involve your contents.

PPC is paid activity whereas SEO is non-paid activity. To get the best results SEO is the best recommendation.
