Can i post a link in a thread?? It will definitely add value to your site. The original post is very huge so i am unable to post it here.

Well it depends on the link. If it is affiliate and like something than you can not post it in thread. But yes you can post link in thread if it is necessary to put inside it.

I agree with BloodMaster, our forum's allow dofollow links in signature and posts. For links in posts, it need to be related to post content and useful for readers so we allow that. With links spam or self advertising, we can remove links without any reports or banning accounts spamming links.

What about if talking about "strongest web directories" I'm using hyperlink to Top 50 our directory
has been offering to the public and which BTW in Top 20 in G. SERP for these keywords.

Or somebody is asking about free directories.
Can I use link to refer them to our Directory?

To me "self advertising" is somewhat confusing and flimsy definition.
I mean, is saying that I'm gamble and simple man and here is the link to Wiki
to verify validity of my statement is self promotion?
