Yes, Go for Logo with Character in Before you have suggested. And use that character into social media's profiles for your blog promotion.

I like it. It's not an easy task to create an elaborated character like that. I wouldn't change anything in the design.

Hi Tim, nice logo. They are both nice but the first one is better IMO because it adds personality to it. The man with the thumbs up is something people can identify with and relate to if you get me?

So I'd say go with the first one. Did you make it yourself?

Hi all,

I'm have a IM products review blog and would like to add a logo to my website.
What do you guys think. Should I use my logo with or without the character?

Is the character better for my personal branding, or does it distract too much?
Will it be better because people recognize me, etc etc.

Please your opinions.

Thanks!
Nice logos! Well, without the character should be good, it'll be short and small that can be placed easily everywhere. Good luck!

Hi Tim,

Great job, i love them both.

I do prefer the logo with the mascot tho. It certainly helps with branding and makes the whole logo pop out that bit more.
Great use of colours, simple but very effective.
Congrats

Good luck!!

Hope this

I would remember and recognize the first one with your mascot anywhere. Honestly, it's a great logo that serves its purpose.

I don't think you can make a bad decision, they all look great on a lighter background.

Nice logo. I also loved the first one (not flat). It adds character to your site. Good work!

The first logo has more appeal. One thing to consider is that the name of you brand is relatively long. So you need an icon that could stand alone, but brings brand recall your text. :)

It's so excellent logo. Make it smaller then it can be used everywhere easily.

consensus here, Logo looks good and you should keep it. I agree, There will be other places and times that you can use just the banner wording or just the icon itself but in general I would keep them and use them together for your blog. Can you share the URL to your site?

the logo is great but I would probably look at design trends. flat design is now the norm and gradients are kinda out... I would also remove the drop shadow and thick stroke

I look up his name and I found his website name is Tim Verdouw
It is the same with his Facebook. So I guess he decided not to use any of those 2 lol

Your logo is very nice but I suggest if you could change the color of your word Dutch to a bright color such as red. I think it is more attractive to the eyes of the people. This is only a suggestion.

Hi,you are a creative man!I like your logo. But I think the second one is better the one without the character.Because my first impression looking at your logo with the character I thought it was a logo for a food product like a kids crackers or canned juice. This is just my opinion anyway it's nice.

Well It's good. and in my opinion, you should put the cartoon character if you want to include that to your logo into the middle of "D" Dutch, and more sharpen color, just my suggestion.
