Of course, Wordpress. But if you are newbies then i suggest go with blogger. After some time you can migrate from blogger to wordpress. Wordpress have so many good widget and tool to make your blog/web very interesting.

my money is on Wordpress.org(self hosted blog) wordpress.com(free blogs) do not rank as well...But they do rank..Google blogs are decent but you rarely see them on the first page of Google...

Wordpress is amazing for SEO. You will also get many plugins that make SEO a breeze even for the inexperienced newbie. I also love wordpress tags which are good for SEO as compared to blogger labels that don't help much. The one thing I love about blogger is faster indexing(blogger is hosted on Google) and their commenting system. That notwithstanding I would still choose wordpress

Blogspot is best for SEO if you do proper work on it. as Blogger is part of google so it will give priority to its own. SIMPLE LOGIC :thumb:
