I prefer Windows 8. And I especially like that the Windows button thingy is back in the bottom-left hand corner of the screen.

Personally, I definitely preferred Windows 8 - though Windows 10 in its preview is working alright. As someone mentioned though, it's much about what you utilize your computer for. I run Xubuntu on a laptop as well, and like that. The only OS I haven't come around to liking is OSX.

I have 3 different OS' on 3 different computers. Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.

I think Windows 7 works the best for me, but Vista is a close second (it's gotten much better with all the updates).

I just don't care for the "app based" home screen on Windows 8. I had to install "Start Menu 8" just to feel comfortable using it. That way it boots straight to desktop and gives me the "Windows bar" back on the bottom of the screen.

Even with Start 8, Windows 8 still feels clunky sometimes. For example, sometimes when I launch Chrome from the icon on the normal desktop, it launches the "Chrome App" instead of the normal Chrome program. All of my bookmarks and settings are empty in the app, so I have to close it, return to desktop, and re-open. It's a pain. Not even sure what causes it. It's sort of random when it happens...

Mountain Lion for my Macbook Pro. That was in 2012 I think. It was amazing:ertery:
But since I was an idiot and sold it, I had to go back to my awful windows:violent:

used windows back to when it was 60+ disketts, over time I watched the entire Microsoft OS get worse. imo people pay to beta test windows anymore.

for me it's all Linux, it acts and works like windows.
it has windows emulator ( WINE ) to run any windows software.
stops ALLOT rogue scam-ware.

you can also kick it up a notch and use Sand-boxing within
Linux .. protect system further...suggest to search or Google
( Linux Distro ) look at OSWatch.com for a quick check on
many builds using Linux.

My fiancee and I have been using Windows 7. He recently got a new PC and it had Windows 8 on it. He instantly changed it to Windows 7. We are just way more comfortable using it and less bugs/glitches. Some of the issues are probablly fixed especially since Windows 10 is out. I am pretty sure that we will be sticking to Windows 7 for a little bit.

I use to love Windows 7 but couple of years back I switched to Mac and since then I have become a huge Mac fan and never really thought at any stage of going back to Windows. I don't think you will find lots of people who have used Mac would want to go back to Windows expect the hardcore gamers because Mac is surely not the ideal choice for gamers. If you run a poll of Mac vs Windows, you are likely to get significantly higher votes for Windows just because the number of Windows users are way more that Mac users but if you ask those people who have used both operating systems then I am pretty sure you will get more votes supporting Mac.
