I think the tags work similar to keyword density in SEO, so the more there are, the less percentage of importance each one has. Just pick 2-4 of the most important. Tag stuffing is just as bad as keyword stuffing these days.

Like others have stated, learn coding. WP doesn't really take any skill, as even a child can put a site together using it. The real skill will come from learning programming to implement in sites you build yourself from a good foundation.

GA is still tragically flawed though, and not very accurate. The most accurate count is going to come from your own server side raw logs. Not as "pretty", or fancy, but accurate.
