ccTLD or new gTLD for long-term value?

.de passing 18 million registrations shows that some mature ccTLDs still have strong trust.

For webmasters and investors, would you rather hold a strong keyword in a local ccTLD or the same keyword in a newer gTLD?

Which one has better long-term value?

For long-term value, I'd generally favor a premium keyword in a mature ccTLD over the same keyword in a newer gTLD, provided the target market aligns with that country.
