Free Audio Programs

In your opinion, what are your favorite or best free audio programs out there? I would like to give my subscribers the option of listening to my e-book as well.

I use AIMP. I find it quite simple and easy to use.

I could be wrong, but this looks like a program used to download music. I also have never heard or used that program before so maybe it can do more than that I don't know. I am looking for a program that can record my voice for long periods of time to a file and I can upload it to my landing page. Does that program do that?

Looks like I found one. Anyone ever here of Audacity? Is it a good program?
