How to add thanks notification in my post

Hello all forum members,

I want to know how can I add "Thanks" notification in my post. I tried to do it in my general setting by checking the option but it is unchecked automatically every time I click on save button at the end of the that page.

This option does work as it should, even though it continues to "uncheck" itself
once you save your settings, the setting IS still saved. You just have to make
sure to "re"check the option each time to edit your General Settings.

I do not think, however, it works as you are thinking it does. It will not EMAIL
you a notification, instead, it will notify you within the greeting bar along the
top of the page (where it says "Hello wmguides" -- top right) by displaying a
RED "new" flag whenever someone adds either "thumbs" or "thanks" to any
post you have made.
