CSS option selected?

Hi everyone, please tell me if there is a way to css style the "selected" option from a list?

It's like, I have a city or name list in a drop down box selection, with a fixed color is gray. But this size only applies to the ones that are not selected. Once you select any option, the color becomes different, for example, it should be red.

Is there a solution for that?

It's called :active

You use it like this

.classname:active{color:red;}

So whenever this is active or clicked on, it will be red instead of grey.
