Describe your past experience in affiliate marketing?

Personally, I start affiliate marketing with a link directory. I sent traffic to that directory from Google Ads and Quora and started to get some sign ups. But I could not make back the money I spent on ads so far but I am getting there.

With my directory I planned to make money from 4 sources ...

1. Display ads.
2. Referring people to websites they can earn from and earning a commission.
3. Selling listings on my directory.
4. Reporting earnings on YouTube and making money from views.

I want to squeeze out the most money I can from the people that visit my site using ads.
