Do you think content production is underpaid?

I am a freelancer writer. I have worked by making content for several blogs and websites. I never actually felt satisfied with the money I received for each text. I think writing is a really hard job that deserves to be well paid. Have you ever worked as a freelancer writer? Where you well paid?

I do tend to agree that content writing is a bit underpaid, especially if you are producing decent content and also presenting yourself professionally on the forums and helping the site owners and administrators generate traffic and revenue. Of course, we are all at the mercy of the market here, and we can't always demand our fair price, but maybe there could be a better merit system than just points ratings in terms of a pay scale for better and better posts--maybe that already exists, and I just don't know it yet--

Yes. No doubt it is. But you are competing with people across the world. $10 might not seem much, but to someone in a poor country, that $10 is like gold. They would even be happy with $5.
