Direct https or https://www? is there pros and cons?

I see many websites with a current setup of either https://domain.com or https://www.domain.com - my question is, is there any real benefit of using one or the other in regards to SEO or just a in general?

The best thing to do is pick one and stick with it. The www is really a hold back from days gone by. It's not really needed anymore.

Nope, there is no additional benefit. You should stick with whatever fine by you.

If your domain is not in .com domain but in new tlds as .best, .club, .site, .online...etc then you should always go with non www, that will make your url looks better and shorter.

It doesn't matter which one you choose on a new site, but if you have an existing site and have never set a preferred version, you better do the one that has the better link profile.

SSL or Https are very important now as they are considered to be one of the ranking signals. make sure you have SSL installed on your domain or you can use Cloudfare Free SSL for your site.
