That's actually a pretty clever idea you've got there – using smaller websites to boost your primary site's ranking. It's a strategy that can definitely work wonders if done right.

Hi Raninmaker,

Using smaller websites to boost the ranking of your primary site can be a viable strategy if executed wisely. However, it's essential to focus on quality over quantity. Ensure that the smaller websites you collaborate with are relevant to your niche and have credible, authoritative content. Guest posting, backlinks, or collaborations can be effective if the websites have genuine, valuable information for the readers. Avoid spammy or low-quality sites, as they can harm your primary site's reputation. Transparency and authenticity in your partnerships are key. Always prioritize providing value to the users, and consider how these collaborations align with your overall brand image and goals. It's a nuanced approach that, when done right, can positively impact your primary site's ranking and reputation.

I hope it helps!

I am doing exactly that right now for one of my sites. I'm actually building a couple of directory-like sites around the subject, with links to many different related sites. Of course, my own website is featured everywhere :) Probably won't work in every niche.

That sounds like an interesting strategy! How have the directory-like sites influenced the traffic and ranking of your main website so far? Also, could you share more about how you ensure the content on these smaller sites remains relevant and valuable to your audience? I'm curious about the challenges you've faced and any lessons learned that could be applied across different niches.

It is a great idea to use smaller websites to create backlinks and drive traffic to your primary site. But, be careful to not use low-quality or spammy sites, as this could negatively impact your ranking.
