Get quality backlink from Wordpress via wordpress plugins ?

Hi webmasters,

My friends have shared me a way to get good backlinks on wordpress.org by writing a simple plugin or re-code a plugin existed on wordpress and submitting on wordpress plugin page, of course, we will put my url or link page on Description, Faq tab...etc to have link points to my site.

According to you, it's good way to get quality backlinks from wordpress site.??

Any thoughts ?
