Can banner ads destroy my website design?

Hello,

I tried to put banner ad on my blog but seem it may destroy my website look and decreasing traffic to my site? is it right?

so please give me suggestion where I should put my ad or should not put banner ads on a website/blog?

If you have the traffic, a few well placed banner ads can be a nice extra source of income. By definition banner ads are meant to stand out from the web page - they will undoubtedly have an impact on your sites visual appearance, but many people are 'ad blind' nowadays so it'll probably only be you who notices them hmy:

I think a lot depends on the content of your site though, for example if you had an online gallery you most definitely wouldn't use banners, but for a commerce site then its perfect.
