CPC vs. CPM: Which will increase my sales better?

I have a new website with some web services on it and i'm going to go with CPC or CPM but I don't know which will increase my sales better, CPS or CPM?

Anyone has experience about that, please suggest me your ideas.

I know the PPC but don't have much knowledge about CPM as I heard the term CPM for the first time if you tell me the basic idea about CPM then I will definitely solve your query.
