Hey Guys,
I have just purchased a domain for building a classified ads site, I have a budget $750 for marketing, hire writers, hosting and somethings else. Is it a great investment and enough for starting a Classified ads website to earn income online in short term? What do you guys think? How much do I need and your analytics?

I have seen that most of the classified sites initially earn money from third party ad networks like google Adsense, Infolinks etc.. are you willing to make money from these networks or you have any other monetizing strategy. For marketing, Initially you can start with Google adwords or bing ads. This will give your site some good hits.

Hello,

Personally , I don't think the investment will be enough unless it's a local classified forum.

You can find hundreds of classified sites right now so the competition is a lot and you will need a lot more investment than that.

But , if you do succeed in building a good classified ads site , it will have a lot of potential to make a lot of money

So, I just want to wish you luck

Regards,
Mark

You need something more like $750 a day for a budget.

Why would anyone go to your site instead of Craigslist?

The only chance you might have is to have a specific topic for the ads. Like make it specifically for people who want to buy and sell model trains or something. I just picked that topic out of a hat as an example. Even then though, nobody is going to know you exist if all you have is $750 to spend.
