Must-Haves for the Perfect Landing Page?

I want to build a good landing page to capture leads but I have some questions

Should I use homepage as a landing page?
Removing navigation?
A simple or complex page?
Add sharing buttons to it?

What else can i do for it?
In your point of view, what are the Must-Haves for a perfect landing page?

Really depends what kind kind landing page or what kind of leads your trying to capture.

But yes, big thing is not to have any traffic leaks. No distractions. No sharing buttons. There should be only one thing they can do on the page, opt-in or leave. Make it easy.

Usually the best are super simple, powerful headline, optin, that's it.

Also, the less information you ask for, the more it can increase conversions. Ask for email address only and you'll have the best shot for higher conversions.

Don't talk about spam, even to say your don't spam, it can decrease conversions.

But it can depends on who your targeting.

and of course the most important, it should ALWAYS be in test mode.
