What is the best WordPress membership plugin?

Hey everyone,
I've been looking for an effective login system for members that is compatible with wordpress. I'd like quite a stylish login page which allows users to have their own account on my site and one where they can download ebooks or items after paid or registered as a member.
I heard of WP Wishlist but not sure how to use it because i have a very limited knowledge of coding
If you have any recommendations I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

S2membership plugin is one the best and highly popular plugin for starting a membership site. they also have some good feature lists. I think you sholuld try them out.

I use S2member, it's one of the best I've seen and has a free version to let you get used to building a site until you are familiar enough to go with something more complex.
