I started using a URL combiner to organize similar URLs. I decided to go with Bridge URL. because it actually uses a word that I need, bridge. Let's say in 2 years *poof* that service from that website is gone, then work I have done in building and organizing things is also gone Does anyone have experience in using these for this purpose? I was actually thinking about using these for menus, because they are very easy to work with.

I can easily combine, and edit, and move things around, sort of a portable menu. The name is automatically written into the header:

bridgeurl .com/colorado-aa-na-ca-lifering-meetings
bridgeurl .com/boulder-work-program-docs

What's that, like 30 URLs combined into 4...

I have never even heard of doing this until last week.

The main reason I never use these types of services is because of exactly what you said. If they go out of business... Poof.. All links quit working. I don't like to take chances like that.

A viable option would be to create your own bridge url type of script and install it on a domain YOU control.

Mr. Rob, your caution about using these types of services caused me to check and see how my slideshow of links are doing, you were right. They have their own, or I assume are selling space before my URLs. It didn't come up at first, maybe they wait till you are using the Bridge service, then start packing in ads, literally before my URL list, or somehow over it, maybe an iframe?
Always remember this...

If it is a free service..... YOU are the product.... A free service ALWAYS makes money off of you some how some way.

Just be happy you spotted how they are making money off of your work before you used them even more.
