If you use their ad campaign like on Facebook they will provide a tool to track how many likes/engagements..you got after a period of ad.

Well I am using Google analytics for tracking my Social Traffic. It helps me to understand the traffic flow from social networking sites and how users behave. I hope you should try it out.

I'm already using Google Analytics. But I was hoping there was an easier way to keep track of everything that's going on on my social media profiles. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus, LinkedIn).

I use Google analytics tool to measure the progress of social shares.
You can see the traffics by following steps below:
In ACQUISITION tab -> All traffic -> Channels -> Social.
You can see the list of social channels that bring traffic to your website.

Its always good to monitor. We monitor everything including ad campaign traffic and non-paid ones too.

I agree. Is there a way to monitor the metrics without having to check GA every day? Perhaps a tool that can show me insights about my campaigns?

Sprout Social offers the best variety of social source monitoring. But it s expensive, so unless you are a freelancer with big incomes you can t aford to have it. Although i was working on it 2 years ago. You will find some hot feautres such as the well-organized dashboard.It gives you near real-time snapshots and aggregate trends that help you better understand your audience. The only disadvantage is the limited number of social networks.

Thanks for your comment, Sam. I'm aware of Sprout Social. Their platform is really nice but you're right - it is a bit expensive.
