Why #1 Gets 18x More Traffic Than #9?

Is it true that #1 position gets 32.58% of organic traffic from Google, while #9 position gets only 1.86%. Why?

Casually users don't have time to research some topic. Also some of them are totally not necessary, you can read some note in 1 page, for example how to cook something. If you are visiting site 9 it means, that you didn't got info in 8-th first which is pretty rare.

Actually people clicks on first 2-3 results to get what they want. When they couldn't find what they actually looking for then the scroll the page and move towards rest of the links. That's why top 2-3 links get more clicks compare to the 9th rank link.
