Google’s updates like Helpful Content and E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) have definitely shaken things up. For many, it’s meant focusing even more on creating high-quality, user-focused content rather than just trying to please search engines with keywords or backlinks.

If your content genuinely helps users and shows expertise, you’re probably seeing positive changes in rankings and traffic. But if you were relying on outdated SEO tricks or thin content, you might have noticed a drop. The key now is to make sure your content is not just relevant but also trustworthy and valuable, backed by real expertise. It’s all about building credibility and being useful to the audience.

I agree! Those who adapt to this approach will definitely see long-term benefits, while those stuck in old tactics may continue to struggle.
I wonder if anyone here noticed any significant changes in their traffic or rankings since these updates?

With spam links, the site that was in the top 5 only dropped 2-3 places. I don't know how big a change this is. But I think it affected the existing serp results by less than 2%.

Google’s recent algorithm updates, like the Helpful Content and E-E-A-T updates, are reshaping SEO strategies.
How have these changes affected your website rankings and traffic?
I have definitely noticed the impact of Google's latest update on my website. Updating helpful content encourages me to focus on creating more valuable and user-focused content. It improves engagement. E-E-A-T's principles inspire me to build more authority and credibility. This leads to better rankings. Overall, I've seen positive changes in traffic and rankings. But continuous effort to adapt is required!

These updates have definitely shaken things up.
For my sites, I’ve noticed that those with content written with some expertise or by people with actual experience are doing better. Traffic and rankings have improved on pages where we focused on quality and answering user intent.
On the flip side, sites or pages that were more focused on just hitting the keywords or had thinner content took a hit.

I’ve seen an increase in organic traffic for pages that truly address user intent. It’s a reminder that prioritizing user experience is more crucial than ever in our SEO strategies)

  • The March 2025 Core Update (rolled out Mar 13–27) hit sites using templated AI content, thin pages, or poor mobile experience and rewarded those with strong E‑E‑A‑T, helpful content, and solid technical SEO .
  • Additionally, Google’s Core Web Vitals/INP update (late May) further favors fast, interactive, and mobile‑optimized sites, while AI‑driven search features like “AI Overviews” are changing click‑patterns in SERPs

The recent Google algorithm updates have definitely impacted how my sites rank and perform. Specifically, I've noticed a boost in rankings for content that's genuinely helpful, detailed, and written with clear expertise. Pages created just to target keywords without providing real value saw a noticeable decline in visibility.

I've found that focusing more on demonstrating authority, providing personal insights, and clearly showing who the authors are (aligned with Google's E-E-A-T principles) has made a positive difference. Traffic dropped initially on a few pages that weren't up to the new standards, but after revising them to offer more authentic, helpful content, those pages started recovering.

These updates reinforced the importance of quality, user-focused content rather than relying on purely technical SEO or keyword optimization alone.

Recent AI-powered updates by Google, especially the March 2025 core roll-out, reward content that demonstrates real human expertise, depth, and mobile-friendly experience while punishing thin, AI-generated, or parasitic SEO approaches. The launch of AI Mode with chatstyle summaries has resulted in dramatic fluctuations in SERPs and a shift towards conversational snippets over traditional links.
