Hey,

I run a Youtube channel with documentary-style stories on superyachts, private jets, luxury living. Our audience is from USA and male-skewed and TV-first with ~27–28% US viewership. Last 90 days: 241K views, 15.6K watch hours, CTR 7.3%, AVD ~3:52. Top content includes Gulfstream G700, Bombardier Global 8000, and Lürssen superyachts. All of my channel subscribers are organic subscribers and all of them watch long-form videos. I've never uploaded any short videos to date. I have 3700 full organic subs.

Can I sell ads for companies on this channel? What should the pricing be? Are there any platforms for this?

Thank you.

I assume you are already making money from it via YT ads, but you should further monetize it with affiliate ads for complimentary lifestyle products using whatever affiliate program has it, such as CJ or any in-house platform.

You can typically earn $2–$10 per 1,000 US views, depending on niche, engagement, and ad formats.

That range is AdSense RPM, which is what YouTube is already paying him. Selling a placement directly gets priced off a different number entirely. Brands aren't buying the 241K historical views, they're buying however many views the one video carrying their mention picks up in its first 30 days. Spread across a whole library, that per video figure is usually far smaller than channel totals suggest, and it's the only number worth quoting in a pitch.

The other thing to be upfront about is that 27 to 28 percent US means roughly three quarters of the audience is somewhere else. A US brand will do that arithmetic themselves and discount hard if you lead with totals, so give them the absolute US number instead. AVD of 3:52 is the part they'll actually press on, since it decides whether anyone is still watching when the mention lands. Pull the retention graph on your best performing videos, find where the curve flattens, and place the read there rather than at the front. How many views does a new upload get in its first 30 days?

They’re all over the place, but the key is to figure out what your audience actually wants first. Once you know that, find an affiliate program that fits those products. Most people do it backwards they join random programs and promote whatever’s available, even if it doesn’t align with their audience’s interests.

With your niche and audience, I wouldn't focus only on selling ad placements. Your viewers are interested in high-end products and services, so premium sponsorships and affiliate partnerships can often generate more value than standard YouTube ads. The key is to build a media kit with your audience demographics, engagement metrics, and examples of past video performance. Brands are much more likely to pay for a targeted audience than for subscriber count alone.
