How many articles need to publish before started seeing steady organic traffic? Did content quality, niche or topical authority make the biggest difference?

I run multiple blogs,

It's a great way to make money online, even today.

I do a 3-year strategy for all my blogs. Just like any business, it takes 3-5 years before you see anything significant. Blogs are no different. Nothing happens overnight.

Year 1: I write and build my email list. I just focus on writing for the most part. 1-3 blog posts a week, After a year, you'll have a lot of content. Make sure what you post is valuable to your niche and target audience.

Year 2: I continue writing but now I spend more time marketing on social media, paid acquisition, newsletters, and the works. I have a year's worth of content to prove myself as an expert.

Year 3: I focus on profit. I have the content and the following.

From my experience, there isn’t a magic number. I’ve seen small blogs start getting consistent traffic with 30-50 really focused articles, while others needed 100+ because the topics were too broad or the competition was higher. The biggest difference for me was building around a clear topic cluster instead of just publishing random posts. Once the site had enough content covering different angles of the same subject, traffic became much more stable. Quality matters, but having enough depth in one niche is what usually moves the needle.
