Hi everyone,
I’m a new member here and wanted to ask about something I’ve noticed with a couple of newer websites.
Google is discovering my new pages, but some of them stay in “Crawled - currently not indexed” for quite a while. The sites have XML sitemaps, no obvious robots.txt or noindex issues, and I’ve added internal links from older pages. I’ve also tried requesting indexing through Search Console, but that obviously doesn’t guarantee anything.
For those working on newer sites in 2026, are you seeing the same thing? Is Google simply taking longer to evaluate new pages, or are there particular technical/content signals you check first when pages remain unindexed?
Would be interested to hear what’s actually working for people recently rather than just the usual “submit the sitemap and wait” advice.
