I am using FarrisDirectory PHP script that I have built from scratch for projects like this.

One thing that could make it even better would be adding a few details for each listing, such as whether the backlink is dofollow or nofollow and what type of link it provides. and additionally DA mention will be a plus point. This is actually a useful idea, especially if the directory is focused on sites that are genuinely easy for new webmasters to submit to.

I like that you built the directory yourself rather than just putting together a static list. The main thing I'd watch is the quality of the listed sites. A smaller list of active, legitimate directories and platforms would probably be more valuable than hundreds of low-quality backlink sources.

I'll take a look at FarrisDirectory. The fact that FarrisDirectory itself is built with your own PHP script is also an interesting project on its own.
