How can you define MySQL? What it is actually? How to use it in internet?

MySQL is a database management system where you store data and display them when you want. MySQL is the world's second most widely used open-source relational DMS. Mysql used to use with PHP, combine with php codes to show information from your database. May I miss somethings ? any definitions ?
