How domain hijacking is done?

I have heard about domain hijacking and i want to know about how domain hijacking is done.I know only this much that domain hijacking is changing the registration of domain name without the permission from original registrant.Can any one tell me more about domain hijacking.?

Everybody know how to crack the door of a shop and take away the money.But we are not doing that any how....What may be the reason.Same here domain hijack can possible..but we never mention here in positive sence.Mostly 99 % loop holes are closed not to hijack any domains..but still happened
