Any one ever heard about it, it's possible to make money online?

I have a friend and he said that he is an consultant online, whey he spent time for consulting, does he earn any bucks?

There's no way to answer your exact question because I have no idea who your friend is.

Yes there is money in consultation. I charge $80-$140 an hour for consultation and that's a competitive price in America.

Judging from the structure of your question, I would advise you to stay away from consultation.

Real money is in consultation and having an SEO agency... SEO outsourcing is biggest part of online outsourcing today (don't know the exact numbers though... there's many articles on that matter). Even more money is doing that B2B...

But you need to know something for that... you can't consult someone if you don't know nothing about it... you can be only charged for fraud.

It all depends on what your friend means by "consulting." Many affiliate marketers earn extraordinary incomes from valuable content marketing sometimes even creating their own online funnel affiliate program to promote their own "consulting" package of video training that teach others how to market as well. Therefore, I believe this one may come down to what exactly it is that your friend meant by "consulting."

I have definitely heard of online consulting. The problem with it is that you would have to invest a lo of time into actually making the website, creating the content and getting in contact with people to participate in the consulting. To be honest if your not really good at what you are offering then you might not want to ivest all that time and money into trying to teach people what you know.

You should have immense knowledge on what you are going to deal with. Especially consulting field needs real time experience, business logics, strategy and communication skills to become successful in it.

In your question you have forgotten to explain the situation clearly. There are different charges for different consulting like software consulting, man power recruiting, business growth and enterprise resources consulting etc.

Hey there,

Consulting is a good way to make your first bit of money online, but understand you consulting other people does not have any leverage to it. You can only be at 1 place at 1 time.

The thing with consulting is first starting out when you have had zero or only a couple previous clients behind you. So I don't consult anymore, but I did do it in the beginning just to earn some extra money and a good thing about consulting is that when people ask questions it makes you grow stronger in the subject.

But basically how I would start is find beginners in your area. The best way to go about finding them (or at least what I did) was going to forums within your niche and finding the threads that is just a beginner saying "Hey, I'm new to this stuff and don't really understand it. Can someone explain how it all works?" This is gold.

Send those people a private message and offer to consult with them completely free. I know in internet marketing anyways, people basically need 3 things to start.

-Domain
-Hosting
-Autoresponder

So since they needed these 3 things I would go ahead and signup for their affiliate programs and tell my future client.. I will coach you completely for free over email, the only thing I ask in return if you'd like is when it is time to buy those 3 things you do so through my affiliate link that way the company can pay me a commission for sending you there. 99% of people will agree and be more than happy to do it.

From there you just collect their email address, ask them what they know, and what they are confused about and go from there. Once they get everything they need and all setup and understand everything I send them on their way.

The hosting/domain service I used to send people to was HostGator which only had a 1 time payout of $50/sale that scales up with the more sales you make. However, the autoresponder I used to send people to was Aweber and they pay you 30% of their bill every-time they pay. So I still make commissions from work I did quite a while ago.

That's how I would get started and at the end you can always ask for testimonials which they will most likely do because they kind of become your friend by the end of things. Use the testimonials to help build a great reputation behind you.

Also something important in consulting...

Make sure, in the future, on your website you make it clear that you will take them from A-Z teaching them EVERYTHING they need to know.

Make that statement loud and clear because most people don't and when they hear you make that claim to them and when other consulters do not, they start to think and wonder if the other consulters are not going to show them everything and they will end up deciding with you just so they have that comfort knowing that you will 100% show teach them everything.

I think that one of the most important things in considering being a consultant is that you have to have enough knowledge and experience in a given topic/subject/niche that other people will benefit from that and are willing to pay you for that knowledge and experience.

Consulting is basically helping someone, some company or whatever learn something valuable to their purpose or cause. If you have nothing that potential clients can benefit from then perhaps consulting isn't the best field to get into.

If you do have some good knowledge and experience in some field in particular then there are potentially people out there that would be willing to pay you to teach them things and give them helpful information to fit their needs.

So, yes you can make money from doing online consulting, as long as you have something that people are willing to pay for to learn from you.
