PHP vs ASP.Net

Hi All,

I am new to the development world of PHP. I am been using ASP.Net till now. As PHP is in boom, wanted to know how tough will it be for me to learn PHP and what exactly is the difference between both. Kindly suggests any good sites to learn PHP.

My background is also in .net development.

The main difference is that php runs on Linux or Windows where as .net runs on Windows.

Anything you can do with one language, you can do with the other. They are both server side languages with practically the same capabilities.
