Hey there. I'm a freelancer on a few different websites, and have placed bids on a couple and won a few. But I can't figure out Fiverr! It just looks so confusing, I click to find work and I get pics of people willing to do work, not employers...lol Am I doing something wrong there? I have no problem navigating the other sites, but that one just looks confusing...Or is it just me? What do you all think?

You need to register on Fiverr as a freelancer to get work from various clients. You might have switched over to the other account where you are the client and you are looking for freelancers.

Hmm, thank you, I will check on it to see...That could explain a few things. I will definitely check to see if I did it backward. Thanks!

LOL and it wasn't obvious that Fiverr is not somewhere people post jobs they're looking for but rather jobs that they do. They're called gigs. Also, when you saw everyones ads a bell didn't go off, saying, "Oh maybe I should post what I do"?

Im very confused how you didnt put that together on your own.

Fiverr is obvious isn't it? You sign up and can hire people for services or post your own. If you're already a freelancer then you're probably using a freelancing site already which does exactly the same things as fiverr.

Very interesting you mentioned that, I was using Fiverr for the longest time and since they did the recent upgrades and restructure of the categories, I have had to relearn much of Fiverr. It is still great, but I seem to run into that now.

I personally never had any good experience with Fiverr (With their support actually), for new sellers it's hard to get good sales over fiverr. I like the bidding system used by other sites.

When fiverr was rising, the traffic was plentiful, and it was easy to make some cash quickly. Now when they are dropping, my impression is that they are pushing established sellers even higher and new ones to the bottom... right now You really need to have some great gig to succeed there!

Like Jacob said, in the beginning you have to have a really unique gig or you have to over delivery - a LOT (and after time when people get to know you, you may decrease the quantity of the gig) but this is not enough, you also need to make some review exchange to get things going. There are people who earn good money out of fiverr, but the market now is very saturated, so if you want to make something decent you have to put a lot of effort in it.

If you really want to master fiverr - find a course to show you how to become successful selling services on fiverr?

I have had moderate success on Fiverr. The key is to offer a gig that will be able to sell a lot. For example, I wrote reviews on there for Amazon, Google, Apple, etc. I don't do it anymore, but it was a nice way to get my feet wet when I first started out.
Out of all the freelance sites, I always considered Fiverr the easiest to get into.
