What kind of web hosting for a website 5000 visitors a day?

Although my site is getting around 800 visitors a day and it's running well on a shared hosting but I would like to know if my site has 5000 visitors a day then What kind of web hosting do I need? still shared, VPS or dedicated server?

Please share your advice.

It really depends on your site. Is it static vs dynamic, resoursage usage, etc.

"Shared Hosting" can technically handle 5000 daily visitors if it is on a strong enough server, and there are not many other clients on that server. However your not likely to find a host that will allow a shared customer to use that many resources.

If your at 800 a day, it is about time to go ahead and plan your next step up. If you get a spike in traffic one day, you could find yourself in a bad spot.

Once you out grow shared hosting, a VPS is usually the next step. This is still a shared machine, but you get your own dedicated resources.

The wonderful thing about VPS's is they can scal instantly. If you move your site to VPS plan "A", and your traffic increases, simply ask your host to upgrade you to plan "B" and you have the extra RAM/CPU/Space without having to physically move your sites to a new hosting machine!

I would suggest you for a dedicated server. If your website traffic is increasing by day you will also host more data which requires a more custom plan and hadware for your security. Dedicated servers are ideal to host your important data with good security and would also help to provide you with greater bandwidth and disk space.

It's better to upgrade to a VPS, Such high amount of traffic might get you in trouble with your provider for over consuming resources thus resulting to suspension.

As mentioned before, it will heavily depend on the page itself - but it's unlikely that it's suited for a shared hosting platform. 150 000 visitors per month is perfectly fine by itself, however the standard website today is rather heavy (and often WordPress-based with a lot of plugins), which won't fly well. A VPS would be more suitable for this usage,

It's depend on the source code of you, Wordpress or others and how you optimize it.

Currently, I'm using A2 Hosting, Wordpress an an optimized theme, it can handle 2000 unique visitors per day.

To serve 5000 daily visitors, you may need VPS with good configuration like as follows:

4GB Guaranteed RAM
100GB RAID6 SSD Storage
4 vCPU Cores
cPanel / Plesk Control Panel
1 TB Premium Bandwidth

If you are anticipating more traffic in future, I would suggest you to choose the Dedicated Server right away to avoid unnecessary migration exercise.
