Unfortunately the backlinks on wikipedia are all NOFOLLOW... and as such this will do nothing for your rankings on Google... You may get some traffic but not a boost on your rankings... The only exception I know of is a less well known search engine called duckduckgo which has a bias with links from authority sites as part of its algo - but in the grand scheme of things its tiny when it comes to search marketshare which G dominates...

If you want to get onto wikipedia then you need to become a volunteer contributor - but you can be sure of one thing if your aim is to place links to your website then its very likely you'll get caught out by other mods...

You know something else about Wikipedia that hardly anyone ever talks about?

Not all of the reference links on there are all that authoritative. Many of the topics lack ongoing moderation. And there are plenty of dead links (404's) on there in the references because of its lack of voluntary moderation. Next time you happen to visit there, check out the reference links and see if you run into any 404's. The last time I was on there trying to research something useful, I ran into 3 dead reference links from just one page out of about a dozen references.
