Stars here measured by number of posts

Hi,
I wonder why does this stars below our usernames are measured by the number of posts, when you have reached above the 150, 200 posts one start will increase, and likewise when reaching 300 posts one another increases. So if someone just posts too much to just increase the number of his/her posts without helping the OP (Original Poster), what would you do with him/her?

I'm just a little curious about this, can wms change this? If you say it's OK like as it is, why?
